LUXURY TENTED CAMPS

One of the most unique experiences on safari can be a stay at a luxury tented camp. These camps are generally in fixed locations and feature elegant furnishings inside a tent shell built on raised platforms. The bathrooms are often in solid walled structures attached to each tent and are as elegant as the bathrooms in a deluxe hotel suite.

Luxury tented camps are generally smaller. Serena's Kirawira Camp with 25 tents is one of the larger ones you might find. Most are between 6 and 15 tents. Usually, these camps offer highly personalized service with butlers. Meals are gourmet and there are usually all inclusive packages meaning most beverages and all meals are included in the rate.

There are also sesonal luxury tented camps that are set in a specific location during times of the year when game viewing is at a peak. Some of these camps follow the migration and move with the season.
